Mom’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients: 1 cup salted butter, softened, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, 1 cup chopped walnuts

 

STEPS: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Stir in flour. Once the mixture is uniform, mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop onto trays lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 8 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the cookies are gooey and look light brown. The cookies should not be brown! Let the cookies set (cool) for a few minutes and then enjoy.
